Book List
For 2025
Someone asked about a book list from last year, so I decided go ahead and post it, even though it feels insignificant. I didn’t get through many books in 2025 (hello, busy household and talkative preschooler and too much phone time-ugh). I think I missed recording some too, so my list looks small.
But there were some good ones, and here they are for your review:
Some of my favorites were Catch Me if You Can, Becoming Elizabeth Elliot, and Levi’s Will. Of course the Fitzgerald books are always worth a reread. Mayflower and The Path Between the Seas were a touch weighty for my little brain, but I forced my way through and enjoyed them some of the time. The rest of the time I felt heroic, so they were a win/win.
Looking over these, I can see that almost all of them were a recommendation from a friend, and that makes me feel warm inside.
I hope 2026 looks promising for you. I do love a new year and a fresh stack of books. I would love to hear your favorite read(s) from 2025.
Cheers.
-Emily

A few of my favorites:
Metamorphosis - Amber Shirk
When God Doesn't Fix It- Laura Story
Defying Jihad- Esther Ahmad
Divine Collision - Jim Gash
A Brave Face- Barbara Marlowe
Salt to Sea- Ruta Sepetys
Hey, thanks for these. I hope you read a later edition of Levi's Will—I thought the little epilogue in the later editions, about how the book had impacted his father's life, totally elevated the book and made it all so much more meaningful. Truly the written word has impact.
Thanks for the impact of yours.
